The scope of this study was set by Egyptian writer Yusuf al-Qayd and one of his representative works, 『It's Happening in Egypt Now (Yaḥduth fī Miṣr al-’Āna, 1977)』. Chapter I of the paper outlines the purpose of the study, previous research, and research methodology, Chapter II examines the author's life and his works, and Chapter III analyzes the work using literary sociological research methodology. We examined whether there was a connection between this novel and Egyptian revolution in 2011. After the study we can conclude that, at least within this work, the portion depicting the social background that precipitated the Egyptian Revolution in 2011 is one of the most relevant pieces among Arab novels.
