본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 부모의 학업성취압력과 학업 스트레스의 관계에서 사회부과 완벽주의와 학업적 자기조절의 순차적 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 18세 이상 27세 이하의 수도권 4년제 대학 재학생 462명을 대상으로 학업 스트레스 척도(SAS), 사회부과 완벽주의 척도, 학업적 자기조절 설문지(K-SRQ-A), 지각된 부모 기대 척도(PPE)에 대한 응답을 수집하였고, SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 23.0을 활용하여 자료에 대한 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시했다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 학업성취압력, 사회부과 완벽주의, 학업적 자기조절, 학업 스트레스의 상관분석 결과 모든 변인 간 유의미한 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 연구모형보다 경쟁모형이 더 간명하고 적합한 모형으로 나타났다. 즉, 부모의 학업성취압력은 대학생의 학업조절과 학업 스트레스에 직접 영향을 끼치기보다 매개변인인 사회부과 완벽주의를 통해 간접적으로 영향을 끼친다. 셋째, 부모의 학업성취압력과 학업 스트레스의 관계에서 사회부과 완벽주의와 학업적 자기조절이 순차적으로 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 미미하게 연구되었던 부모의 학업성취압력과 학업 스트레스의 관계를 구체화함으로써 대학생의 학업 스트레스에 대한 교육적, 상담적 개입을 구체화하였다는 의의를 지닌다.

This study aimed to verify the serial mediating effects of socially prescribed perfectionism and academic self-regulation on the association between parental academic pressure and academic stress among college students. To this end, data were collected from 462 undergraduate students aged 18 to 27 attending four-year universities in the metropolitan area. Responses were collected through the Academic Stress Scale(SAS), Socially Prescribed Perfectionism Scale, Academic Self-Regulation Questionnaire (K-SRQ-A), and Perceived Parental Expectations Scale(PPE). Structural equation modeling analysis was conducted using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0. The primary findings of this investigation are as follows: First, significant correlations were found among all the following variables, parental academic pressure, socially prescribed perfectionism, academic self-regulation, and academic stress. Second, the competing model demonstrated superior fit and concise compared to the research model. Specifically, parental academic pressure was found to exert indirect effects on college students’ academic self-regulation and academic stress through mediating variables rather than direct influences. Third, it was confirmed that socially prescribed perfectionism and academic self-regulation sequentially mediate the relationship between parental academic pressure and academic stress. This study is meaningful in that it embodied the educational and counseling interventions for college students’ academic stress. It specifically examined the link between parental academic pressure and academic stress, an area with limited prior research on college students..
