본 연구는 교육 대학생의 주체성 형성과정에 관하여 Foucault의 주체성 관점에서 상담 담화를 분석하고 이를 기술하고자 하였다. 연구참여자는 진로를 고민하는 교육 대학생으로 주체성의 변형을 보여주고 상담에서 언어로 이를 표현한 1명의 교육 대학생 내담자이다. 교육 대학생의 주체성 형성과정을 상담 담화에 기반하여 담화분석 방법을 통해 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 상담 담화에 나타나는 주체성으로 첫째, 참여자는 문장의 주어에 타자를 두어 ‘남들이 교사 되기를 바란다’고 하면서 사회적 기대에 예속된 나를 드러냈다. 둘째, 참여자는 관계 지향성과 성장 욕구를 대조 개념으로 두면서 ‘주변과 거리두기가 필요하다’고 하였다. 셋째, 참여자는 ‘내 생각이 정말 내 생각일까?’라는 의문문을 통해 자신에게 질문하면서 주체성을 발현하였다. 상담자와 상호작용을 통해 구성하는 내담자 주체성으로 첫째, 참여자는 자기 비난의 목소리를 자각하면서도 ‘관계에 휘둘리는 나’의 예속된 모습을 수용했다. 둘째, 참여자는 선택과 배제를 통해 자신의 욕구를 구체화하면서 ‘나만의 페이스’를 발견했다. 셋째, 참여자는 ‘어차피 하게 돼 있어’라고 표현하며 자신의 고유한 욕구에 기반하여 새로운 자기를 발견하고 선언했다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 교육 대학생의 주체성 형성과 관련하여 상담에 시사하는 바를 논의하고 연구의 의의와 한계를 밝혔다.

This study attempted to analyze and describe the counseling discourse from the perspective of Foucault’s subjectivity in terms of the process of forming subjectivity of educational college students. The study participant was an educational college student contemplating a career path, who showed the transformation of subjectivity and expressed it verbally in counseling. The results of analyzing the process of forming subjectivity through the discourse analysis method based on the counseling discourse are as follows. As the subjectivity that appears in the counseling discourse, First, the participant revealed herself subordinated to social expectations, saying, “Others want me to be a teacher,” with others on the subject of the sentence. Second, the participants expressed relationship orientation and growth desire as contrasting concepts, and said, “I need to distance myself from my surroundings.” Third, the participant expressed the subjectivity by self questioning, “Is my idea really my idea?” As the client’s subjectivity that is formed through interaction with the counselor First, while recognizing the voice of self-criticism, the participant accepted the subjugated appearance of “self being swayed by the relationship.” Second, the participant discovered “own pace” while embodying own needs through selection and exclusion. Third, the participant discovered and declared a new self based on her own unique needs, expressing “I’m supposed to do it anyway”. Based on these research results, the implications for counseling in relation to the formation of subjectivity of educational college student were discussed, and the significance and limitations of the study were revealed.
