본 연구는 지역아동센터 아동이 경험한 음악교육이 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 GS리테일-기아대책에서 19년간 진행한 클래식 음악교육 사업인 ‘무지개상자’에 참여한 전국 23개소 지역아동센터의 아동 197명의 응답을 활용하여 양적연구를 수행하였다. 2022년 7월 29일부터 8월 20일까지 총 23일간 조사하였으며, 1달에서부터 최장 130개월 동안 프로그램에 참여한 아동을 대상으로 하였다. 분석 결과는 첫째, 음악교육 경험이 긍정적일수록 아동의 회복탄력성이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 아동이 음악교육 경험을 긍정적으로 느낄수록 사회적 지지 요인인 부모의 정서적 지지와 종사자의 언어적 격려가 높아졌다. 셋째, 음악교육 경험과 회복탄력성과의 관계에서 부모의 정서적 지지 매개효과가 나타났다. 넷째, 부모의 정서적 지지는 회복탄력성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나, 종사자의 언어적 격려는 유의미한 결과를 나타내지 않았다. 본 연구는 음악교육 경험이 지역아동센터 아동의 회복탄력성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였으며, 부모와 종사자의 사회적 지지 영향을 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 연구 결과를 토대로, 향후 취약계층 아동 음악교육에 대한 지속적인 지원의 필요성과 부모 참여 강화 방안 및 종사자 역할의 중요성을 제언하였다.
