국내 고령화의 급속한 진행에 따라 고령자의 건강관리가 중요한 이슈가 되어왔다. 특히, 고령자의 인지능력과 관련된 노쇠문제가 심각하다. 고령자의 인지능력을 평가하고 개선하기 위해서 이제까지는 관련 임상전문가가 개입되어 진행되어왔으나 최근 전산화된 인지평가 프로그램이 개발되고 있다. 이러한 전산화된 인지평가 프로그램은 기존의 의료기관에서의 사용을 넘어 지역사회에서의 고령자 개인의 사용이 가능할 수 있기 때문에 이들의 사용성이 고려하는 것이 더욱 중요하게 되었다. 하지만 이제까지 전산화 인지평가 프로그램의 사용성 평가 프레임워크 및 분석방법 제시와 그것의 활용가능성에 대한 검증이 부재했다. 따라서 본 연구는 기존의 연구들을 고찰하여 통합적인 사용성평가 프레임워크를 도출하고, 이것을 기반으로 개발되어진 전산화 인지평가 프로그램에 적용하여 분석방법의 활용가능성을 검증하고자 한다. 본 사용성평가는 지역보건소에 방문한 60세 이상 고령자 중 인지기능이 정상인 검사자 49명을 대상으로 진행하였고, 사용된 전산화 인지평가 프로그램은 ‘집중력, 시공간지각, 기억력, 언어기능, 집행기능’의 5개 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 사용성에 대한 분석은 정량적으로 신뢰도 분석, 기술통계, 비교분석을 시행하였으며, 사용자들의 실제적 요구사항을 파악하고자 수집된 주관적 의견에 대한 정성분석을 제안하였다. 연구결과는 사용성 평가 프레임워크를 사용자 편의성, 조작성, 오류예방성, 학습용이성, 만족도, 주관적 의견 6가지 영역으로 도출하였으며, 개발된 전산화 인지평가 프로그램을 이용하여 평가 분석방법의 유용성을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 고령자를 위한 전산화 인지평가 프로그램의 사용성 평가를 위한 방법을 제시하고 검증했다는 점에서 의의를 가지며, 개발기업과 규제기관의 활용에 대한 실질적 함의점을 제공한다.

As the aging of the population in Korea progresses rapidly, health management of the elderly has become an important issue. In particular, the problem of senility related to the cognitive ability of the elderly is serious. In order to evaluate and improve the cognitive ability of the elderly, related clinical experts have been involved so far, but recently, computerized cognitive assessment programs are being developed. Since these computerized cognitive assessment programs can be used by elderly individuals in the community beyond the use of existing medical institutions, it has become more important to consider their usability. However, until now, there has been no usability evaluation framework and analysis method of the computerized cognitive assessment program and verification of its usability. Therefore, this study aims to derive an integrated usability evaluation framework by reviewing existing studies and to apply it to the computerized cognitive assessment program developed based on this framework to verify the usability of the analysis method. This usability evaluation was conducted on 49 subjects with normal cognitive function among the elderly aged 60 years or older who visited the local health center, and the computerized cognitive assessment program used consists of five areas: ‘concentration, spatiotemporal perception, memory, language function, and executive function.’ The analysis of usability was quantitatively conducted through reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, and comparative analysis, and a qualitative analysis of the collected subjective opinions was proposed to identify the actual needs of users. The research results derived a usability evaluation framework into six areas: user convenience, user operability, error prevention, user learnability, user satisfaction, and subjective opinions, and the usefulness of the evaluation analysis method was derived using the developed computerized cognitive assessment program. This study is significant in that it presents and verifies a method for evaluating the usability of a computerized cognitive assessment program for the elderly, and provides practical implications for the utilization by development companies and regulatory agencies.
