본 연구는 고령장애인은 노화와 장애의 이중고로 인하여 경제적 어려움을 경험할 뿐만 아니라, 사회참여 부문에서도 저조한 상황에서, 고령장애인을 대상으로 경제적 요인, 자기효능감, 사회참여 간의 관련성을 분석한 연구는 거의 전무하다는 문제인식에서 제기되었다.

본 연구의 목적은 고령장애인을 대상으로 경제적 요인이 사회참여에 영향을 미치는데 있어서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 2023년 장애인고용패널조사 2차 웨이브 8차년도 조사 자료를 활용하였으며, 2차 웨이브 8차 조사 완료 된 총 4,588명의 장애인 가구원 중에서 만 65세 고령장애인 546명 중, 국민기초생활보장 수급가구 여부에 응답하지 않은 1명을 제외한 총 545명의 고령장애인을 본 연구의 대상으로 하였다.

독립변수인 경제적 요인의 하위변수를 경제적 지위와 수급가구 여부, 그리고 취업여부로 포괄하여 설정하였다. Amos 20.0을 활용하여 경로분석을 실시함으로써 경제적 요인이 사회참여에 영향을 미치는데 있어서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하였다.

분석결과를 제시하면, 우선, 경제적 요인의 하위변수인 경제적 지위가 높을수록 자기효능감과 사회참여가 각각 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 경제적 요인의 또 다른 하위변수인 취업상태 일 때 자기효능감과 사회참여가 각각 높아지는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로, 경제적 지위와 취업여부가 사회참여에 각각 영향을 미치는데 있어서 자기효능감의 부분 매개효과가 검증되었다.

분석결과를 토대로, 고령장애인의 사회참여와 자기효능감을 강화시키기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

Elderly people with disabilities are required to strengthen their income based on the economically poor situation. In addition, this present study began with the recognition of the problem that few studies have analyzed relationship between economic factor, self-efficacy, and social participation for the elderly people with disabilities. This present study investigated economic factor effects on social participation of elderly people with disabilities and analyzed whether the effect is mediated by self-efficacy. We used the 8st year data of second wave 2023 Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) using Path analysis with Amos 20.0. The subjects of this current study are 545 elderly people with disabilities. The sub-variables of economic factor were used in the analysis including economic status, National Basic Livelihood Security Allowance Status and employment status. The findings are as follows: First, economic status had a positive effect on self efficacy and social participation respectively. Second, employment status had a positive effect on self-efficacy and social participation respectively. Finally, we found that partial mediating effect of self-efficacy relationship between economic factor and social participation. Based on the findings of the study, policy measures were suggested to strengthen social participation and self-efficacy of elderly people with disabilities.
