평생교육의 이론과 실제는 기독교 교육에서도 다루어져 왔다. 이를 한마디로 ‘기독교 평생교육’이라고 한다. ‘기독교 평생교육’이라는 명칭이 낯선 이유는 그동안 성서 교육을 평생교육과 연결하지 못했기 때문이다. 이 연구의 목적은 교회에서 평생교육 활성화 방안을 탐색하여 지역 사회 평생교육기관으로서 교회의 역할을 제시하는 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구 문제는 첫째, 교회 내 평생교육의 현황은 어떠한가? 둘째, 교회 평생교육 활성화를 위한 방안은 무엇인가? 이다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교회 내 평생교육 현황은 다음과 같다. 교회 내 평생교육 관련 부설 기관으로 인정받고 운영하는 기관은 000 복지재단, 000 도서관, 000 유치원, 000 노인학교 등 다양하다. 이 외에 평생교육 관련 프로그램을 운영하거나 유사한 평생교육 관련 형태로 운영되는 것으로는 주일 학교, 부부 학교, 아버지 학교, 결혼예비학교, Mother Wise, 상담실 등 개 교회마다 다양한 대상, 다양한 방법, 다양한 기간으로 실시하고 있다. 둘째, 교회 평생교육 활성화 방안을 다양하게 제시하였다. ①신앙 공동체 중심 교육이 중요하다. ②교회가 지역 사회의 평생교육기관으로서 역할을 하기 위해 필요한 평생교육 지원 시스템 마련이 필요하다. ③교회와 지역 사회와의 연계 시스템이 필요하다. ④교회 시설의 개방이 필요하다. ⑤노인 교육에 대한 근본적인 의식 전환이 필요하다. ⑥다양한 교육 프로그램을 제공할 필요가 있다. ⑦원격 교육시스템을 활용한 활성화가 필요하다. ⑧교회에서 평생교육 활성화 문화를 조성할 필요가 있다. ⑨교회가 필요에 따라 평생교육 기관으로 지정받을 수 있는 법적 근거 마련이 필요하다. ⑩교회는 평생교육사 과정에 관심을 가질 필요가 있다. 이상의 제안 사항들과 함께 교회에서 효과적인 평생교육을 위해서는 부설 기관으로서 평생교육 관련 프로그램을 운영하는 것은 물론이고 지역주민을 위한 평생교육 프로그램을 진행할 수 있도록 법적 근거를 마련과 함께 교회는 등록된 성도를 포함한 지역주민을 위한 기관임을 인식시켜 줄 모델이 필요하다. 이러한 방안들은 교회와 지역 사회 모두에게 이로운 결과를 가져올 것이다. 특히, 제안된 해결책들이 실제로 구현될 때 어떤 영향을 미칠지에 관한 연구도 필요하다. 본 논문에서 제시된 해결책들이 교회와 지역 사회 모두에게 이로운 결과를 가져올 것이므로 앞으로도 지속적인 연구와 노력이 있기를 기대한다.
The theory and practice of lifelong education have been addressed in Christian education as well. In a word, this is called ‘Christian lifelong education.’ However, the reason why the name ‘Christian lifelong education’ is unfamiliar is because Biblical education or Christian education has not been linked to lifelong education in teaching. The purpose of this study is to explore ways to revitalize lifelong education in churches and present the role of churches as lifelong education institutions in the community. The research questions to achieve the research purpose are: First, what is the current status of lifelong education in the church? Second, what are the plans for revitalizing church lifelong education? am. The research results are as follows. First, the current status of lifelong education within the church is as follows. There are various organizations recognized and operated as lifelong education-related affiliated organizations within the church, including the Welfare Foundation, the Library, the Kindergarten, and the Senior School. In addition, life-long education-related programs or similar life-long education-related programs are operated in each church, such as Sunday school, couple's school, father's school, marriage preparation school, Mother Wise, and counseling center, and are conducted for various targets, in various methods, and for various periods of time in each church. I'm doing it. Second, various ways to revitalize church lifelong education were presented. ①Faith community-centered education is important. ②In order for the church to function as a lifelong education institution in the local community, it is necessary to establish a lifelong education support system. ③A linkage system between the church and the local community is needed. ④Church facilities need to be opened. ⑤A fundamental change in consciousness regarding education for the elderly is needed. ⑥There is a need to provide a variety of educational programs. ⑦It is necessary to revitalize the distance education system. ⑧There is a need to create a culture of revitalizing lifelong education in churches. ⑨It is necessary to establish a legal basis for churches to be designated as lifelong education institutions when necessary. ⑩Churches need to be interested in lifelong education history courses. In addition to the above suggestions, in order to provide effective lifelong education in the church, it is necessary to establish a legal basis to not only operate lifelong education-related programs as an affiliated institution but also conduct lifelong education programs for local residents, and the church must include registered believers. A model is needed to help people recognize that it is an organization for local residents. These measures will bring beneficial results to both the church and the community. In particular, research is needed on what impact the proposed solutions will have when actually implemented. We expect continued research and efforts in the future as the solutions presented in this paper will bring beneficial results to both the church and the local community.권호기사
