본 연구에서는 최근 비대면 상담 시장이 확대되고 있다는 점을 고려하여 대면 상담, 전화 상담, 이메일 상담, 채팅 상담, 화상 상담, 웹/모바일 기반 자가관리 심리서비스, 가상현실 상담에 대한 중년 성인들의 인식에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 중년 500명을 대상으로 자료를 수집한 후, 기술통계분석 및 다차원척도분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 사용의도와 관련하여, 17가지 문제 중 대부분의 문제에서 대면 상담이 1순위로 나타난 반면에 체중조절, 이성문제, 시험불안, 학업 문제에 대해서는 전화 상담이 1순위로 확인되었다. 가족 및 지인에게 추천할 상담 유형에 대해 살펴본 결과, 성문제와 이성문제을 제외한 모든 문제에 에 대해 대면 상담 혹은 전화 상담이 1순위 혹은 2순위였고 채팅 상담이 3순위로 확인되었다. 또한, 대면 상담과 전화 상담이 서로 유사한 상담 유형으로 인식되었고, 채팅 상담, 이메일 상담, 화상 상담, 웹/모바일 자가관리 심리서비스가 유사한 상담 유형으로 인식되는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 외에도, 상담 유형별로 최대 지불할 수 있는 금액도 살펴보았다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 의의와 제한점, 그리고 추후 연구를 위한 제안을 논의하였다.

This study examined middle-aged adults’ perceptions of various counseling methods, including face-to-face counseling, telephone counseling, e-mail counseling, chat counseling, video counseling, web/mobile-based self-management psychological services, and virtual reality counseling, given the recent expansion of remote counseling market, Descriptive statistics and multidimensional scale analysis were conducted for data from 500 individuals. The results showed face-to-face counseling as the top choice for most of the 17 issues, while telephone counseling was preferred for weight control, relationship issues, test anxiety, and academic problems. In addition, for family and friend recommendations, face-to-face or telephone counseling was the first or second choice for all issues, except sexual and relationship problems, with chat counseling being the third choice. In addition, face-to-face and telephone counseling were perceived as similar types of counseling, and chat, email, video, and web/mobile-based self-management psychological services were recognized as another similar types. Also examined the maximum amount individuals were willing to pay for each type of counseling. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study, as well as suggestions for future research were discussed.
