본 연구의 목적은 연인과의 이별 후에 부적응을 겪는 30대 남성과 가족이 참여한 가족치료 사례를 분석하여 연인 관계 및 이별 후 부적응에 영향을 미친 가족관계 경험과 가족치료의 구조와 개입 방법을 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구결과 내담자의 연인 관계 및 이별 후 부적응에 영향을 미친 가족관계 경험은 어머니와 “정서적 방임자와 희생양” 관계, 아버지와 “신체적⋅정신적 폭력의 가해자와 피해자” 관계, 누나와 “꼭두각시와 문제아” 관계로 분석되었다 . 내담자는 유년시절부터 가족 안에서 의지할 만한 안전기지가 없었고, 특히 어머니와의 부정적인 관계가 내담자의 부적응에 심각한 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 본 사례연구에서 치료자가 적용한 애착 이론, Bowen의 가족체계이론, MRI 모델의 통합적 접근이 내담자의 외로움과 불안감, 포르노와 자위 중독, 음주문제 등의 부적응 문제해결에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 연인과의 이별 후 부적응을 겪는 30대 남성이 인식하는 유아기부터 성인기까지의 생애 단계별 가족관계 경험을 바탕으로 한 가족 치료적 개입 방법을 제시하였다는 데 의미가 있다.

This study explored a family therapy case involving a 30s experiencing maladaptation following a breakup, analyzing the influence of family relationship experiences on romantic relationships and post-breakup maladaptation, and investigating the structure and intervention methods of family therapy. The study’s findings reveal that the family relationship experiences impacting the client’s romantic relationships and post-breakup maladaptation include an “emotional neglector and scapegoat” relationship with the mother, a “perpetrator and victim of physical and mental violence” relationship with the father, and a “puppet and problem child” relationship with the older sister. The client lacked a secure base in family relationships since childhood, with the negative relationship with the mother being particularly influential. The study demonstrated the effectiveness of the therapist’s integrated approach, which combined attachment theory, Bowen’s family systems theory, and the MRI model, in addressing the client’s maladaptive issues such as loneliness, anxiety, pornography and masturbation addiction, and alcohol problems. This study is significant in preresenting family therapy intervention method based on the family relationship experiences of a 30s, as perceived from childhood to adulthood, who experiences maladaptation after a breakup with lover.
