This study explores the characteristics of primitivist music and examines its educational value when applied to dance education.

Through this research, it was identified that primitivist music is characterized by its intense rhythms, irregular melodies, experimental harmonies, and primal timbres, all of which contribute to its wild and dynamic musical qualities. The educational value of utilizing these musical traits in dance education can be categorized into four main areas.

First is the value derived from the relationship between dynamic musical elements and bodily expression. By embodying the dynamic elements of primitivist music, benefits such as enhanced rhythmic sense, improved agility, the development of creative and original movements, exploration and expression of inner emotions, and relief from psychological tension were observed.

Second is the value that emerges from the close relationship between the beats of primitivist music and a sense of community. In dance education, primitivist music enhances engagement, encouraging spontaneous participation in movement and fostering experiences in communal dance. This leads to significant outcomes such as strengthened community spirit, increased inclusivity, shared emotional experiences, and the development of communication skills and creativity.

Third is the value identified through the connection between primitivist music and nature. The sounds of nature and primal rhythms stimulate visual imagination through auditory perception, fostering an ecological awareness. This contributes educationally to self-awareness within nature, the recognition of one's existence and identity, and an increased sense of responsibility towards the environment.

Fourth is the value arising from the fusion of primitivist music with other forms of primitivist art. The integration of different art forms promotes multi-sensory learning and expands the range of artistic expression, offering significant educational benefits.

This study does not merely examine the characteristics or works of primitivist music but highlights its educational value by logically analyzing its effects and significance in practical education. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the more creative and effective application of primitivist music in dance education.
