This study investigates the actual condition of juveniles voluntary support and the facts that effect on a degree of satisfaction through a demonstrative way, it assumes that a participation motive, a suitable duty, a relationship with a person in charge, a voluntary support training have an influence on a degree of satisfaction and those facts are verified to present the schemes to improve juveniles' satisfaction when they do a public service.
This study was carried out a questionnaire survey of 240 middle school, high school students who are experienced in the voluntary support in Uijeongbu city, a SAS statistical program is used for dealing data and analyzing. The frequency analysis is operated mainly, and it calculates that a frequency, a percentage, an average, and a standard deviation of all facts. A One-way ANOVA, a correlation analysis, and a multiple regression analysis are used for it.
To sum up the results of analysis are as follows.
1. As for the actual condition of voluntary support, the greater number of students take part in the voluntary support via school and teacher, a simple task as like providing a helping hand holds a majority in a working type. The most difficult thing by students is that the place and the way of voluntary support do not be hunted easily, and they may not be involved if those public service activities would not be reflected in a school record, and it shows that most of the students do not join in voluntary support spontaneously.
2. What facts effect on a degree of satisfaction in the voluntary support are,
The first, in a degree of satisfaction based upon a population statistics factor, there is no significance difference between the sex, the grade, and the school record, but the religion makes it. The group that believe in Buddhism is much more satisfied with a voluntary support than others.
The second, in case of group that have more affirmative participation motive, more suitable duty, more harmonious relationship with a person in charge, and more be trained show a higher satisfaction according to a causation between the facts and the degree of satisfaction. An influence of the facts to a degree of satisfaction comes over in good order a participation motive, a suitable duty, a relationship with a person in charge, and a training experience.
3. Based on the above results, plans to improve a degree of satisfaction in juveniles voluntary support are as follows.
The first, juveniles' motive to do a voluntary support should be changed to their own initiative.
The second, the suitable duties should be set in placed by an individual desire and an aptitude and a character.
The third, an official in charge of voluntary support should take a systematical, professional training to lead the students well.
The fourth, an education and an evaluation should be conducted systematically to look at the meaning and the necessity of a voluntary support in a new light.
