The aim of this study is to find out the influence of physical changes on the record in throwing. To do this, I measured the muscular strength, guideness, endurance.
agility, grindingness, stability, and flexibility of the 45 students(24 boys and 21 girls), of physical education high school who were top 6 in 10 events in 2001 and 2002. And then, I carried out the Multiple Linear Regression in the way of Paired t-test, T-Test, Piarson's correlation coefficient, Stepwise. The results are as follows:
1. in male players, by training the physical strength is increased in abdominal muscles, vertical jump, standing broad jump, throwing handball, pushups, crunches, running, side step test, zigzag run, wall pass, ball dribble and stand one-footed. In female, the physical strength is increased in abdominal muscles, vertical jump, standing broad jump, hanging, crunches, running, side step test and trunk extension. The increase in trunk extension in girls is more significant than that of the boys.
2. The most important factor in male physical strength was abdominal muscles, and the second was side step ability.
3. The abdominal strength and side step ability in male players affected to the record improvement by 38.2% but in female players, no physical strength can affect the record improvement. So further experiments are needed to find out factors of record improvement.
Suggestions
1. Studies on the influence of the physical strength in each throwing item are needed.
2. To know what part of physical strength affects to the record, study on different groups divided by the ability of the players is needed.
3. Developing the most effective training program to each throwing item is needed.
