The surface treated technology is one of the most important technologies which helps to improve the parts and machines for power generation and to prevent economic loss caused by the damage of them.
The parts which are likely to be seriously damaged by corrosion, fretting abrasion by water hammers are turbine, steam generate, recuperator, sea water pump, parts of FGD(Flue Gas Desulfurization), and machines for the steam coal, and they are required to withstand abrasion, corrosion because they contact high pressure steam, cooling water, medium at a high speed.
However, the damage of those parts exceeds the designed durability of them, which leads to a long period of suspension of power plants, thereby causing problems in the effectiveness and safety of the power plants. Therefore, material technologies that help to expand the durability of the parts for the machines running under high temperature, high pressure, high speed are required, and the execution of such surface treatments to expand the durability of those parts as the surface hardening treatment by a high frequency and stellite coating is an important method of improving the performance of the parts for power generation facilities.
