The most of methods for stabilizing the slope was focused on reducing the slope angle and then, many kind of remedial methods for stabilizing the road cut slope were applied. And the auxiliary methods were drainage method for the prevention of water seepage and protection method of surface for the prevention of surface erosion and these methods were applied to almost all the slopes.
The various vegetation methods which is used in west Gyeongnam regions are being inadequately applied because the manager of construction site don't know the correct understanding of vegetation methods. So the various vegetation methods are not applied in adequate site and shows no good vegetation condition.
And also vegetation methods are only applied as zone of soil, weathered rock, blasting rock. The adequate vegetation method or kind of vegetation planting are not selected considering of upper part, middle part, lower part of slope.
This study presents the results of investigation of road vegetation methods and kind of vegetation planting adapted in West Gyeongnam region road slopes. This study will be used in terms of adequate ecological restoration methods of the road slope. And also this paper will serve as the basic data for understanding on the adequate vegetation methods considering of soil characteristics of road slope. So, It will be useful data for slope vegetation design and construction considering of suitable road slopes in West Gyeongnam regions.
