The purpose of this study is to suggest an English Reading Teaching Method based on Educational Broadcasting Media after reviewing reading theories, models and teaching methods. To achieve this purpose, the Broadcasting English Program and the school English lesson plan are examined. In addition, the practical English class is suggested based on Educational Broadcasting Program.
ChapterI includes the objective of this study. Chapter II analyzes definitions of English reading, English reading models and Reading Teaching Methods. ChapterIII analyzes broadcasting definition, history, and composing parts. ChapterIV suggests an ideal reading lesson plan and actual English class procedure. In ChapterV, there are the conclusion, results, significance and the limitations of this study.
The results of this study can be summarized as follows.
First, students can study with Educational Broadcasting Programs without scheduled time or places. Most students are studying in scheduled classrooms but they can't participate in the classes they missed. Educational Broadcasting Programs can be made regardless of these conditions.
Second, Students probably have more opportunities to be interested by Educational Broadcasting English Class with broadcasting equipment. English in the Classroom can use only TV sets and computers, which means that it has a lack of teaching materials. Broadcasting English can have a more effective English class by using internet contents and broadcasting equipment.
Third, Broadcasting English doesn't stick to the rules of the amount of learning and class schedule. There may be classroom interruptions which can affect class atmosphere, but in Broadcasting English, there is a greater opportunity for focused study.
Fourth, Reading with Broadcasting English can give you a chance to select the customized class. It is common for students to follow scheduled timetable. However, students can select an English class, taking into consideration their own lev이 after listening to a sample class.
Fifth, It is effective to use their own screens when they look at specific sentences and listen to important grammar, so they can easily find what the teacher has explained.
Broadcasting English has yet to be used effectively though it has been available as an aspect of teaching materials and resources. Broadcasting English has the potential role of teaching English reading and various reading strategies that can help students learn English reading in a pleasant and more effective environment. In addition, it may help to reduce private education tuition and I hope that there is more study in this field, with a focused on the teacher's proper attitudes and text books.
