This study was performed to investigate the characteristics variations of the Indoor Air pollutants concentration in comparison with the ventilation system and collected indoor air pollution data from 4 sites (primary school, new apartment, department store, underground parking space) from June. 07 to Oct. 09. The 4 sites were analyzed by the IAQ standard method of ministry of Environment in Korea. The results can be summarize as follow.
1. Primary school
Characteristics Variations of TVOC and HCHO Concentration in comparison with the ventilation system, TVOC was 750.5 ㎍/㎥→384.0 ㎍/㎥ (48.8%), HCHO was 44.7 ㎍/㎥→ 27.5 ㎍/㎥ (38.5%) TVOC was investigated exceeds the school standard 400 ㎍/㎥ of 1.9 times.
2. New apartment
Characteristics variations of TVOC and HCHO concentration in comparison with the ventilation system, TVOC was 3117.2 ㎍/㎥→593.7 ㎍/㎥ (80.9%), 22.7 ㎍/㎥→ 13.5 ㎍/㎥ (40.6%) TVOC was investigated exceeds the SCANVAC standard (AQ: 200 ㎍/㎥, AQ2: 500 ㎍/㎥) of AQ1: 15.6 times and AQ2: 2.9 times. When the ventilation system operation, TVOC was investigated exceeds the SCANVAC standard of AQ2: 1.2 times.
3. Department store
Characteristics variations of HCHO and CO₂ concentration in comparison with the ventilation system, HCHO was 251.0 ㎍/㎥→ 70.3 ㎍/㎥(67.9%), CO₂ was 855.2 ppm→ 580.2 ppm (28.1%) When off the ventilation system HCHO was investigated exceeds the IAQ standard 120 ㎍/㎥ of 2.1 times. 7 floor from 1st floor was investigated exceeds the IAQ standard. When the ventilation system operation, 7 floor in 2nd floor was not exceed the standard.
CO₂ of 7 floor was investigated exceeds the IAQ standard 1000 ppm of 1.1 times, When off the ventilation system.
4. Underground parking space
The range of concentrations showed PM10 21.7 ㎍/㎥, CO 2.5 ppm, CO₂ 424.7 ppm, NO₂ 0.06 ppm, Rn 0.7 pCi/ℓ, TVOC 657.3 ㎍/㎥ When the ventilation system operation.
Ventilation system, the concentration of pollutants when it is off, The range of concentrations showed PM10 was 71.9 ㎍/㎥, CO 4.78 ppm, CO₂ 511.4 ppm, NO₂ 037 ppm, Rn 1.5 pCi/ℓ, TVOC 1401.2 ㎍/㎥, respectively. The reduction in the rate of pollutants, PM10 was 69.8%, CO 47.7%, CO₂ 17.0%, NO₂ 83.8%, Rn 55.1%, TVOC 53.1%, respectively. NO₂ and TVOC was investigated exceeds the IAQ standard of 1.2 times and 1.4 times, when off the ventilation system.
