Korea's big national project like 'The Four-River Restoration Project', 'Sejong city modified plan', 'Regional Innovation Cities' led to construction boom of the past several years but the Global economic crisis has shown the overall construction of a recession. Local construction companies, especially small and medium enterprises should be seek measures to save themself to the irrational and excessive competition from low-cost subcontractors to do the survival. In this study, based on construction plans and determine the most rational and cost-effective processes performed by the entire situation, construction as planned overall project cost, schedule of the working conditions and standards of performance targets set by and progress performance management system, mainly by switching, reduce budget waste and reduce the term of works, can survive in a competitive way, will seek.
First, the results of the survey on process management as follows.
1. Usually everyone knows 'Construction Technology Management Act' and using a variety of software and process management, most CPM techniques using Excel was the most commonly used.
2. EVMS system, we partially know, but a lack of understanding of the Owner and the Contractor, due to lack of operating personnel were difficult to apply, to remedy these problems, education is the most remedial action.
Based on these survey results in this study apply EVMS progress and established through the case management process by analyzing the actual status of construction and how to apply EVMS WBS selecting the most appropriate action to put the necessary manpower and equipment, the optimum term of work were calculated to improve the process management.
Through the case study drawn from this study, the problem is as follows.
1. Original statement in the amount of material, cost, equipment costs does not produce, but in practice the activities in a manner calculated by dividing the difference occurred.
2. Most companies use CPM techniques to manage the process, but most of the company was using Excel. The ordering body and the Contractor's lack of awareness or lack of personnel dedicated to the use of the developed process management programs are finding difficulties. In order to solve these problems in the Construction Technology Institute to conduct training courses open to the process control is necessary.
3. In a small construction company, a separate dedicated team to manage the configuration process or processes to set off the cost of managing the situation is not easy. Recruiting professional staff is quite heavy a burden to maintenance cost therefore, when make statesment of construction budget it should be set the expenses of process of control, like the 4 social insurances
In view of these results in this study derived from a representative method to apply EVMS practices to enhance the effect seems to be. But a lot of variables covered in the project to build a more detailed WBS and resource allocation is very important. Therefore, detailed statements of construction expenses and expenses of new technology equipment needed to continue to look at study.
