In the 21st century represented by the digital era, it has been analyzed that the biggest factors for sustainable and stable growth are "Speed" and "organic connection between each enterprises". The 'connection' does not simply mean that linking to the process of internal and external corporate sense of the affiliates own, but linking customers, suppliers and businesses bearing in conjunction with all stakeholder associated with the means.
The information on business structures had been formed separately based on their importance of each object in different area. With this structure, it was hard to manage the internal or external resources effectively. Thus, to solve these problems, the business operation has been remodeled and utilized with integrated system tools such as ERP. In the long history of ERP, the system has been extended to the e-commerce (e_Business) and related supply chain management with companies SCM(Supply Chain Management). Among the various ERP modules, however, there are the areas that still need improvements. A lot of clients says the most unsatisfactory areas are MRP(Material Requirements Planning) and Procurement Managements (Inventory Management, Purchase / Procurement Process, Material Master, etc.).
In this study, despite of the long history of ERP system implementation, it will be stated why there are unsatisfied modules to the business. Also, it will be studied which aspects in the business perspective are different before and after ERP implementation through the case of ERP procurement system (MM; Material Management) that has most clients in the industry. In addition, this study will guide the ways to improve the process completion in purchasing / supply portion (Inventory Management, Purchase / Procurement, Material Master, etc.) and to be a more efficient and successful model. It is also aimed to enhance the enterprise values in harmony of the sales division (Sales & Distribution), and production departments (Production Planning).
The first part of this study is stated for the investigation of procurement system (MM: Material Management) of SAP company. In other words, main functionalities of MM will be analyzed, and the function of e-procurement system (e_Procurement) that is used in conjunction with MM will be also discussed.
In the second part, the implementation effects and issues of SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) system in cooperation with MM (Material management) module, and e-Procurement system (Internet Base system) will be examined and the solutions will be provided.
