Also, Swedish massage have been extensively studied as method of intervention to enhance health and relieve the stress. This study was based on previous studies, and conducted to reveal that massage affect reducing stress. The subjects of this study were selected 30 among the 50 career women who have high levels of stress by questionnaire, aged 20s~30s. Then, the subjects were randomly assigned to among the control A group (Swedish+stone therapy), control B group (Swedish+thermal pack) or case group (Swedish+radiofrequency), ten subjects each. The program consisted of 16 times of 30 min during 8 weeks. To assess program effectiveness, data about stress levels was collected before and after program by Visual Analog Scale (VAS) questionnaire. All statistical analysis was performed with SPSS for Windows, version 18.0, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare groups. As the results, there were no differences among groups in VAS. After 8 weeks, the case group and control A group had significantly lower VAS than control B group (p〈0.05), but this values did not differ between the control A and case group. Also, satisfaction of back-massage was significantly higher in the control A group (p〈0.05). These result indicated that it is more effective to combine Swedish massage and stone therapy/radiofrequency for reducing pain of trapezius muscle and stress.
