'Shame' is a feeling of deficiency, inadequacy, helplessness, and intimidation upon investigation of oneself, and it is a form of painful emotion that troubles the whole self. Heinz Kohut accounted that shameful self will be formed if the narcissistic desire of humans basic needs are not satisfied. This means shame has become an ontological problem from a form of emotion, in other words, it has established a part in the identity and John Bradshow interpret this as 'internalized shame'.
Internalized shame in children near juvenile who form identity, hinder the academic ability and cause the difficulty in personal relations which interrupt accomplishing the development of socialization. Shame as the framework composed with own experience and life, will suffer with negative identity and chronic inadequacy. This will lead to sense of isolation in adulthood or suppress productivity that can cause emotional disorder at a high possibility.
This study is aimed at children approached by narrative therapy to separate oneself from problem story of internalized shame and substitute to new positive story. Therefore, on the basis of achieving development amicably and increase the quality of life, healthy mind program which is a development program was carried out for eleven fourth graders where the researcher work at and out of the two child's therapeutic interaction was published as case. Child number one in the initial healthy mind program who showed unhealthy behavior has decreased and the expression for itself through story and drawing has changed, the child number two did show unique results but hard to find meaningful difference before and after participating healthy mind program.
The study has it's significance by confirming narrative therapy provide therapeutic connection to children and it is ail applicable approach in schools. It is an invaluable result considering schools which are facing the needs to the introduction of human view, philosophy of education, and methodology.
