This thesis presents a result of dynamic analysis and vibration suppression for a beam subjected to multiple moving loads. Many researchers have worked on the moving load induced vibration problem. However, few research results are available on how to reduce or avoid it. This thesis deals with a vibration suppression method for the moving load induced vibration using the input shaping concept with two moving loads. The vibration suppression performance is tested with the time interval and the amount of moving load changed. Extended parametric analysis is made to show the effects of velocity difference, the load difference, the time interval, and also the beam dimension. The simulation results provide valuable information for possible application of the proposed method to practical moving load induced vibration problems in beam structures.
