In recent, the STEAM(Integrated human education) education theory is applying with actively in many eduction fields and museum's eduction as well. However the research and study on the STEAM for museum is not enough and there is real difficulties in the eduction design. So the study is purpose for the complement and the suggestion for the museum STEAM education methods thru the preservation science.
In order to propose an eduction method, the flow of museum eduction by the documentary research, the STEAM methods and the preservation science took into account for, the education program on the preservation science is sought thru the research on the cases on National museum's preservation education. Afterward until now, the STEAM education cases of national museum have been evaluated and analyzed. The STEAM eduction methods was redesigned newly using the feasibility study linked with the preservation science by the evaluation and analysis on the cases of the current STEM at national museum.
At the results, It is convinced that the elements of the preservation science can be fulfilled with the STEAM education at museum when the program is designed thru the combination with the learning on preservation science. It was confirmed by the survey that the learners's perspective on the exhibits is changed. However in order to carry out the STEAM education smoothly, at first, the good cooperative work between preservation scientist and the educator, and the supporting budget for museum which have lack of resources. At second, The research information on the STEAM should be shared between the education curator and the teacher at school. At third, more proper eduction method for museum is required by actual application. Based on these problems, author suggested realistic alternative STEAM education method. The suggested museum STEAM requires that educator's correct understanding, the cooperative works with the preservation scientist and the leaner's empathy to exhibits. The empathy can grow by leaning humanities. the elements of STEAM can be fulfilled by the preservation science. This is purpose to promote leaner's good feeling to exhibits and develop eventually the ability to think creatively. This suggest is same as the basic concept of the integrated education but there is a different in that leaner can think by himself when he see the exhibits between the current STEAM which can develop the creative ability to apply for real life.
The STEAM at museum become more active by this study, I hope.
