Conclusion of this study is as follows:
First, for positive awareness of the self of students in multicultural families, indirect experience through television and active experience should be linked together in instruction so that they are encouraged to take more interest in awareness of the self. Education should aim at encouraging them to find out their special abilities and foster their own capability to try hard to the end so that they can build positive awareness of the self.
Second, concerning elementary students in multicultural families, career education should provide them with intensive guide and education for them to find out their own talent and aptitude and concentrate on themselves rather than others.
Third, concerning elementary school students in general families, education should provide them with opportunities to reach independent awareness of their own career.
Fourth, through career education, elementary school students in multicultural families recognize that consultation with teachers can be an important factor in career education. So it is assumed that educational support through public education could be effective. Considering that fact that, regardless of the forms of family, revitalization of career education is an important factor for elementary school students to choose their career, national policy should focus on revitalization of career education further.
Fifth, considering the fact that elementary school students in multicultural families tend to put more emphasis on the external factors than on their own talent and aptitude, there should be more consistent care and education for them to reach awareness of the self and understand their own talent and aptitude first.
The results of this study show that a variety of efforts are needed for elementary school students in multicultural families to be aware of their career. Especially, diverse efforts of the Office of Education is needed to support multicultural families. In addition to this, each school should also work toward improving the awareness of career for students in multicultural families.
