The need for multicultural education and educational demands continue to grow in the reality that Korean society is no longer turning into a single ethnic nation but a multiracial one, due to the rapid population growth. Therefore, it is important for all students to foster multicultural education in our society, which is developing into a multI-ethnic and multicultural society.
Therefore, this study surveyed 400 elementary school teachers in North Jeolla Province on their awareness, attitudes, and understanding of their efficiency.
The results of this study are as follows :
First, the difference between teachers ' working areas, multicultural education training, and students ' guidance of multicultural families in multicultural awareness was not obvious, and there would be a high level of age in teachers ' age and teaching career. Therefore, a study will be needed to improve multicultural awareness of teachers in their 40s and older.
Second, teachers ' multicultural attitudes were not obvious in teachers . working areas, multicultural education training, and multicultural family student guidance, and the older the teacher was, the better the age and teaching experience. Therefore, research will be needed to improve multicultural attitudes toward teachers in their 40s and older.
Third, the difference between teachers and students in working areas, multicultural education training, and multicultural families was not clear, and the older the teacher was, the more the age and teaching experience showed. Therefore, research is needed to improve the sense of multicultural efficiency for teachers in their 40s and older.
