This study researched the effects of awareness and ease of use of family friendly systems on the organizational commitment through a survey targeting the branch workers of K bank of Korea. This study also analyzed the moderating effects of the level of equal gender role in family and supervisor on it.
In the results of the analysis, it was easy for the workers in the subject organization to use the family friendly systems, and they were easily aware of the family friendly systems through supervisors. In the aspect of using the systems, however, contrary to the existing researches, they entirely decided the matter of use based on their own opinions. Due to the characteristics of bank branch, the form of circulation work in the level of individual is more developed than the form of team system, so that the family friendly systems are used by focusing on their own opinions, instead of considering their supervisors' opinions.
Also, this study verified the effects of supervisor's support and attitude toward equal gender role within family on the organizational commitment. However, those two variables did not moderate the family friendly systems and organizational commitment within organization.
The significance of this study is to analyze the effects of awareness and ease of use of family friendly systems on the organizational commitment of bank workers in accordance with the introduction of family friendly systems.
The results of this study also imply that the effects of the use of family friendly systems on the organizational commitment could be largely changed depending on the characteristics of organization, business type, and working pattern. Therefore, the managers of each organization should maximize the effects on the organizational commitment through the differential application by dividing the structure, form, and business type of the organization, instead of simply emphasizing supervisor's support.
