Even various non-standardized cargoes are being shipped onto bulk carrier at Incheon Port, there is not any specific lashing regulations for each non-standard cargo, it makes cargo accidents and dispute arising among the ship / shipper / stevedore due to improper lashing.
In this study, to figure out systematization methods of non-standardized cargo which are export from Incheon Port, not only to prevent any dispute arising each concerned parties but also to minimize time and money losses due to unnecessary lashing.
In the international regulation for non-standardized cargoes lashing, there is not any specific cargo lashing guideline, its only should be prepared and kept on board a "Cargo lashing instruction", and existing regulation is to request a re-inspection to the ship's classification when the non-standardized cargo to be shipped.
Therefore, through the systematization of lashing the non-standardized cargo exported from Incheon Port, it is possible to prevent any dispute arising by non-standardized cargo. And also it expects that ship owners' could be reduce the time loss to correct "Cargo lashing instruction" which is not listed lashing method and calculations for existing non-standardized cargo on the "Cargo lashing instruction".
Finally, it is possible to prevent the damage of cargo and to increase the export cargo and profits of Incheon Port.
