When design or installation of anchoring system is inappropriate, poor heave up condition can be occur during in heave up anchor.
When the problem occurs, it is difficult to find the exact cause.
Even cause was founded, correction work is difficult due to poor accessibility.
If model test and manufacturing, installation in ship were performed again, this process demand long leadtime and cost loss.
In this study, for solve the problem in simplest way, conduct experiment about ideal shape & installation position of guide bar.
In addition, as an independent variable from the guide bar, the correlation between the heave up speed of anchor and and the anchor's pendulum movement was also investigated in various ways, and the results were as follows.
The length of the guide bar is important to maintain the directionality of the anchor chain. In this study, the most effective length and height of guide bar is 2.5d, 0.3d each.
The most suitable guide bar position and quantity are 1piece each at section 18 and 19, and additional positive effects can be obtained by adding a welding bead.
The occurrence of the anchor's pendulum motion during the anchor heave up process can be reduced by maintaining the heaving speed above the requirement value(9m/min).
