This study is about the Literary therapeutic characteristics and meanings of the 18th-century Yadam collection, Cheonyerok, and further suggested ways to use them. Until now, Cheonyerok has been mainly discussed in terms of strange stories. However, if we approach the strange stories with the material, motif, and cognitive dimension, there is a limitation that the vitality of the discussion of the collection of works will inevitably remain in its day.
Therefore, this study attempted to analyze strange stories of Cheonyerok under the hypothesis that the implications of strange stories contain the problems of human relations that encompass the modern and contemporary times.
For this purpose, the aspect and healing meaning of human relationships in Cheonyerok were examined in terms of 'expressing anxiety', 'confirming problems', and 'discovering alternatives'. Research considered in terms of human relations can further reveal the utility of the strange stories beyond the analysis stage, which was dealt with only from an epic and social perspective, and can also suggest measures that can be used in modern society.

This study is significant in that it revealed the literary therapeutic meaning of the term, which revealed psychology that could not be spoken publicly or that the subject could not handle in the form of unrealistic or unreasonable stories.
