This study was a cross-sectional study conducted to identify the effects of community environmental factors on subjective health and quality of life for residents of Yuseong-gu and to provide basic data for improving the health level.
The t-test and one-way ANOVA were analyzed to find out the thoughts on subjective health status and quality of life according to the characteristics of the subjects, and the effect of thoughts on subjective health status and quality of life To identify the factors, multiple regression analysis was conducted.
Among the environmental factors in the community, the factors influencing subjective health status were social security and welfare perception (β=0.164), residential environment (β=0.154), employment opportunities and economic activities (β=0.110), and had a high impact (p<0.05). Among the environmental factors in the community, the factors that affect the quality of life are social security and welfare perception (β=0.175), child rearing and educational environment (β=0.127), residential environment (β=0.223), and culture and leisure living environment. (β=0.110) and subjective health status (β=0.107) were highly affected (p<0.05).
This study shows that various community environmental factors have an effect on subjective health status and quality of life. Therefore, it is considered that it will be helpful to establish basic information on future health promotion programs and policy bases for healthy city projects.
