This study was a cross-sectional study using raw data from the 2020 Adolescent Health Behavior Survey and targeted 1,065 adolescents in multicultural families. Based on the factors identified in previous studies, the purpose of this study was to provide basic data for enhancing happiness by confirming the association between subjective happiness and health status factors of adolescents from multicultural families.
The research method was analyzed by T-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe test to confirm the difference in subjective happiness according to demographic, health status, and health behavior factors, and hierarchical analysis was performed including epidemiologically important variables and variables with p<0.2 or less. Multiple regression analysis was performed by stratifying regression analysis and gender.
As a result of the study, the higher the economic status, the healthier the subjective health status, the higher the subjective sleep, the lower the usual stress, and the absence of depression, and the stress factor had the most influence. Gender differences were found in economic status, mother's educational background, and subjective sleep.
being as result, the factors affecting the subjective happiness of adolescents in multicultural families were identified as economic status factors and health status factors, and the most influential factor was subjective stress. Therefore, customized counseling programs, education, and leisure activities to relieve stress are essential.
