The Control of International Law and Korean Law relating to Biotechnology
The control of international law relating to Biotechnology are divided the legal control of environmental harm of LMOs and the legal control for protection of the dignity and the fundamental rights of human.
The representative examples of the former are "Agenda21, chapter16" of UNCED and "Biodiversity Convention". The representative examples of the latter are "International Bill of Human Rights" of UN( ICESCR, ICCPR ) and "Universal Declaration on the Human Genome and Human Rights" of UNESCO and "Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Dignity of Human Being with regard to the Application of Biology and Medicine ( Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine ) of EU. These had a direct effect on Korean Law.
In result, Korea made various laws in connection with it. But from now on there is the need of suitable reform for regal control of International law.
