This study compares what four travel agencies' tour products(Lotte Tour, Hana Tour, Mode Tour, Hyundai Dream Tour) have done online for Chusok 2003.
In addition to the standard tours they produced new package tours that went to different regions during special leisure periods and advertised by online. Though people wants special tours for Chuseok, the package tours for Chuseok is the same as standard tours. The traditional tours still have sold well and had more appeal than special tours.
Greater demand during the holiday caused higher occuppancy in demand of airseat and resulted in an increase in the amount of booking.
Webpages are not fixed like newspapers or bulletins and can be upgraded when needed to provide new information. Customers can now easily know what kinds of products travel agencies are offering and how many spots are available.
Therefore, if a travel agency has good reputaion, fast and exact management of their webpage, good package tours with special themes, and connect with customers through online bulletin boards, it will beat the other competitors.
