The Changes of environment in labor market affect the hotel industries's managing rechecking system is required. We are studying in many ways to get competition and expansion of irregular labor force.
Because the reasons above, hotel industries are needed to control contingent work as much as their regular employee. The service quality of hotel and production are influenced by turnover of contingent work. There has to be understanding and solving for the direct effect of turnover which is job stress.
This study is to find out the influence of hotel labor's job stress on turnover intention. For that we used labor structure of hotel industry, explanation theory on job stress and through experience research we find the main fact of job stress.
To do that we need draw out variables and make a hypothesis about job stress and turnover intention by previous study.
Data was obtained from a convenient sample of 13 five star hotel in Seoul and collected for a month from 1,september to 1,october of 2003. We distribute 400 of questionnaires for irregular employee and regular employee as result we used 341 questionnaires as effective sample.
The method for the analysis used here are frequent analysis, reliability test, factor analysis, West, multi-regression analysis, and ANOVA, data were analyzed using the Statical Package for Social Analysis(SPSS WIN10.0)
The major findings and implications are the followings.
First of all, After the analysis of influence on turnover intention by job stress of hotel employee. The first main factor is wage and second is relationships with colleague and boss, structure of organization, role conflict, welfare.
Secondly, control variable 'type of employment which are regular and irregular employee affect on turnover. Also regular employee and irregular employee has differentiate of job stress. In case of regular employee, it is found that important factor of job stress is relationship with colleague and boss. in other case which is irregular employee, it is found that main factor of job stress is wage. Also welfare is the influencing factor.
Thirdly, demographic was showed that there were partial difference in job stress factor.
As conclusion, It is not easy to reduce the variable job stress in hotel so if we could manage irregular and regular employee efficiently there going to be the extreme improvement on hotel company's availability and also it gives stability and health individually.
