This study reviews several statistics and articles to explore the transition of family and family problems in Korea. The results are as follows. First, major transition is identified the diversity of family structures, the aging of population structures, decreased birth rate, increasing divorce and change of family life cycles.
Second, statistics of divorce illustrate that conjugal conflicts is the most typical family problems, which caused family to separate. Third, depending on data of clinical agency to serve the individual and family, family problems are spouse's unfaithfulness, personality differences, intergenerational conflicts between wife and husband's mother, and family violences etc. until 1990. Family problems on conjugal relationship, parent-children relationship, and finances is appeared during 1990'. Recently family problems on conjugal relationship, parent-children relationship, family violences and finances is suggested.
In summary, transition of family problems is relative reduction of intergenerational conflicts between wife and husband's mother, relative importances of family violences and parent-children relationship, and finances. Especially, problems on divorce and remarriage is now presented in Korea.
