This study surveys the perception of residents around the Chilseo Industrial Park about the industrial park, the environmental problems and the plan converting the industrial park to an eco-industrial park. This study draws some policy implications from the survey. The residents generally acknowledge the contribution of the industrial park to the regional economy whereas they are discontented with some air pollution discharged by it. Nevertheless, their reaction to the discontent seems very passive. The inhabitants generally agree to the plan converting the industrial park to the eco-industrial park but are opposed to importing industrial wastes from other industrial parks. As the policy implication, this study suggests that all of citizens, business and administration construct the public-private partnership for environment corresponding with the substantial concept of the eco-industrial park.
