This paper examines the determinants of export performance and the difference of export marketing activities by korean small and medium enterprises, while classifying the group of enterprises in respect of export performance level. Using 131 samples, author adopted a discriminant analysis and ANOVA for the analysis of determinants of export performance and difference of export marketing activities.
The results of analysis showed that the independent variables such as exporting experience, international business capabilities, consumer satisfaction, product adaptation, export marketing research, promotion adaptation, the use of native brand, and participation in foreign exhibition were statistically significant. This study's findings seem to offer executives the important insights for understanding the skills and resources specific to achieving competitive advantage and higher export performance.
