This study used content analysis to explore David’s teacher depicted in the children’s picture book, No, David! by David Shannon. David’s teacher is shown in the picture book only twice. However, she is always with David with her yelling. She does not neglect to watch David and always keeps an eye on David’s every movement. She emphasizes the importance of observing the time and regulations. Also, she may be the one who suppresses children’s freedom of expressing their creative thinking. She may have every negative aspect of ‘bad’ teacher; however, she is the one who always tries to break David’s bad habits and devotes herself to David’s education.
