The purpose of this study is to propose the structural model to explore wife's characteristics, commitment, and husband's adaptability relationships.
The classic structural models of buying behavior use three hierachies as a basis for exploring relationships among variables: cause, intermediation, and effect. However, this study proposes the four stages of structural hierarchy : cause, intermediation, adjustment, and effect. They mean: Independent variable(wife's characteristics); intermediation variable(wife's commitment level); adjustment variable(husband's lifestyle), consequent variable(husband's adaptability). In addition to these structural variables, this study introduces strategic variable as a nonstructural variable in order to emphasize the practical value of study in social areas.
