The purposes of this study are to define the relationship between the living environmental arrangement and the nutritional status of the elderly, to provide the fundamental data for the policy of the aged welfare, and to improve the qualify of the life of the elderly. Total housing of the elderly, the elderly living alone, and the elderly living with spouse tended to increase. On the other hand, the elderly with children tended to decrease. The number of the aged welfare institution tends to increase, but the percentage of the number of aged people living in institutions was no more than 3.1% in 2007. The aged people living alone and living in institutions were in poor health and nutritional status compared with the aged living with their children. The aged people living with family and having large family represented to have high level of nutrient intakes and nutrient adequacy ratio. The most deficient nutrient was vitamin A. With regard to the above result, the counterplan and the support plan for the aged people should be provided to improve the life quality of the aged people.
