This article examines the understanding and responses of german government toward the global financial crisis that occurred in 2008. In the beginning of the financial crisis, germany saw it as trivial mistakes in monetary policy and shifted the blame onto USA. But this naive understanding of german government on global financial crisis could not last longer as the financial crisis spread rapidly to the world economy, especially in the real economy sector. Now the german government understands this destructively ongoing global financial crisis as the most severe threat to their country since World War II. German government is now devoting all their energy to overcome this crisis. The bailout, reorganizing financial system and the economy stimulating policies are the main results of their efforts sofar. But when we consider the essential characteristics of financial crisis, it is skeptical that this kind of remedies can overcome the crisis.
