Korea rapidly changes about the multicultural society along with the increasing numbers of foreign wokers and marriage immigrant. The change of social environment brought out new problems. We wish to understand the laws of the multicultural education in this study.
Multicultural education in our country is based on the Constitutional Law, the Fundamentals of Education Act, Multicultural Families Support Act. Generally speaking, multicultural education may be defined as an educational reform movement which holds that all the people should be treated equally and given equal opportunities for learning and cultivating their abilities regardless of their social or cultural background. The objectives of multicultural education is to prepare knowledge, attitude and skills for korean people to understand and respect people of different race, gender, language, class, etc. In order to adapt the social life, it is necessary for the marriage immigrant people to be offered basic quality education. Marriage immigrant people must support it so that it is possible to understand with the Korea society gentry. For the sake of secure settlement, I propose intensifying a requisite of naturalization in terms of the Korean Nationality Act and cut down the hour of naturalization through the Korean Immigration and Integration Program or recognized training program.
