Ssitkim-gut is a sort od Gut, whose puupose is to allow the dead to reach the paradise, performed througout Jeolla-do.
Heeseul tends to have a lot of Buddhist factors and they say that it has been handed down by shaman song and has few disputes. This essay includes not only Heeseul but it also has twelve pieces of shaman song. Through these studies we were convinced that Heeseul had been written on the bases of the kings of the hell and we could compare the similarities and differences by mean of analysi of the shaman songs in other provinces.
There is a common feature that the dead can free themselves from the hell through the concept of ten kings in the hell and a Buddhist invocation on the other hand, in Keongki-do, they have dramatic factors such as shaman’s telling and shamans tell the story of the dead delivered by an exorcism.
In Beulsin-gut of the south coast, the contents of Heeseul is expanded five performances it has a feature that it is shown not in Gut which enable the dead to go to the heaven but in Gut which is carried out in the village.
In Beulsin-gut of the east coast there is a fright scene between the ghost who is who is suppased to catch a dead man and the spirit who lives in a house. That is to say, shaman songs of Heeseul spreads and exists and shows provincial characteristis.
Buddhism influenced the spread of Heeseul throughout the country, the principle of Buddhism hasn't affei shaman songs directly. According to our research we estimate it has a stage, which is from Buddhism to Gasa and from Gasa to shaman song.
