This paper is intended as a legal investigation of the characters on the
petition of the Korean Confucians to the Paris Peace Conference.
It had been reported that 137 confucians signed on the petetion. The
confucians who wrote their signature on the petetion belonged to several famous
confician schools. The signatories were the representatives of Korean confucian

Determination of Thomas Woodrow Wilson.

Wilson Declaration article 5 is as follows: A free, open-minded and absolutely
imperial adjustment of colonial claims and rivalries based upon the principle of
the interests of both the colonial peoples involved and claimant powers. The
term self-determination has been used for political and legal causes. The cincept
of self-determination was one d\of political and ideological bases for the
American independence movement and the French REvolution.
Conclusionally, Self-determination is a right erga omnes and accepted as a
principle of international law. According to the UN, it is a concept to be used
to liberalize the people under colonial regime or foreign domination.
To make a long story short, The Paris Longletter made a public disclosure of
the Japan’s invasion and appealed to the Korean Independence.
