The main argument of this paper is the critique of economic interpretation on Bretton Woods II, which constitute the international monetary order today. Since the 2008 global financial crisis, the debate on Bretton Woods II regime between economists is getting much more bigger. Their main interest is whether this Bretton Woods II regime is sustainable or not. The economist like Dooley et.al. insist that Bretton Woods II will last for a quiet long time. On the other hand, the economist like Eichengreen insist that it will soon collapse. This paper, by criticizing both argument, emphasize the institutional and political characteristics of international monetary order. When we consider this characteristics, the question whether Bretton Woods II regime will last or not comes out as the problem of political relations, not the economic relations.
