Digressing from a technological determinism that illustrate interactivity with the abilities and the effects of media technology itself, this paper is a sociological culture study on the social and cultural construction and alternative projects of cyber-interactivity. Detailed contents of this study are as follows. First of all, this study considers cyber-interactivity from the viewpoint of the social and cultural construction and emphasize cyber-interactivity to be formed through remediation between the tradition and the present, off-line and on-line, and old media and new media. Second, this study asserts that the belief of technological determinism on cyber-interactivity can actually strengthen cyber myths and disciplinary power in web. The mythologization of cyber-interactivity is blamed on an illusion of freedom, such as overcredulity that web users become autonomous individuals and an active part in web is always possible. And this blind belief leads to provide the disciplinary power for managing harassment in web. Third, this study discuss a creative reconstructuring of cyber-interactivity could be materialized throuth plural and collective projects based on common usage, not common goal. Such collaborative projects in web are consistently performed through supplementary and complex interactions rather than the pursuit of wholeness.
