This study aims to examine how hotel FandB employees' self efficacy and job characteristics, one of environmental variants, can influence his psychological burnout in performing his duty. It is also another goal of this study to provide strategic materials through making out preventive measures against the psychological burnout. To accomplish the goals, a field survey was conducted on the FandB employees' of the Deluxe hotels in Seoul area. The results of this study, based on a positive analysis, could be summarized as follows. First, the skill variety, task significance, task identity, autonomy and feedback turned out to have affirmative effects on hotel FandB employee's self efficacy. Second, the autonomy and feedback turned out to have a negative effect on hotel FandB employees' emotional exhaustion. Third, the autonomy turned out to have a negative effect on hotel FandB employees' dehumanization. Fourth, the feedback turned out to have a negative effect on the decrease of hotel FandB employees' sense of achievement. Fifth, hotel FandB employee's self efficacy turned out to have a negative effect on his emotional exhaustion, dehumanization and the decrease of his sense of achievement.
