The purpose of this study is to understand such healing attribute of travel from psychological aspect. The data used in the analysis were obtained through the same measurement tool used twice before and after the travel participation by the students from high school located in Gyeonggi-do and the survey was conducted between October 18 - November 2, 2010.
Research findings reveal that travel experience was partly related to emotional instability and depression, while it was no relation to life stresses. And meaningful differences were shown in 'life stresses', 'emotional instability' and 'depression'. These results imply that travel experience appears to have psychology-healing effects on traveler to a certain part.
Although this study has some limitations, it is thought that this study can make more realistic contributions in the development of travel package and tourist attractions using healing attribute as an exploratory study on the corresponding area.
