이 연구는 특수학급 교사를 위한 교사재교육 심화교육과정 운영에 대한 인식을 분석하기위하여 설문조사로 수행되었다. 전국의 특수학급 교사 358명이 설문에 참여하였다. 설문지는 장애아동 교육실태 10문항, 장애아동 교육에 대한 교사의 인식 10문항, 특수학급 교사를위한 심화교육과정 운영과 관련된 16문항으로 구성되었다. 특수학급 교사는 장애아동의 교육실태와 교육에 대한 인식에 있어서 비교적 긍정적이었으며, 교사재교육 심화교육과정의필요성 등에 대한 높은 요구를 나타내었다. 설문지 문항 분석에 기초하여 특수학급 교사를위한 교사재교육 심화교육과정 운영을 위한 지원 모형을 제안하였다. 합리적인 사고 배양과리더십 함양을 위한 교사재교육 모형은 특수학급 교사의 전문성 신장을 위하여 교사 개인의노력, 연수기관의 노력, 그리고 교육과정 개설 등을 위한 체계를 제시하였다.The purpose of this study was to suggest a model with intensive curriculum of in-service education for special class teachers. The questionnaire which was included in education situation in special class 10 questions, teachers' perception on special education in special class 10 questions, and needs on intensive curriculum of in-service education was developed for this study. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were utilized for this study. The special class teachers indicated positive attitudes toward the education situation in special class and perception on special education in special class. Also the teachers suggested the high needs to open the in-service education for special class teachers. Based on the questionnaire results the model with intensive curriculum of in-service education for special class teachers was suggested. The aim of the model was to support to keep resonable think and leadership through the intensive curriculum of in-service education for special class teachers which was divided into three parts, teacher, institution, and curriculum. Therefore this study concluded that the special class teachers' competency was determined by individual efforts of the special class teacher, the curriculum contents of the in-service education, and the supports of the special education institution.
