A cognition about time and space is variable and relative. In some cases, a long distance seems to be short, and time is also same. There are no absolute time and absolute space. The purpose of this thesis is explaing that a relative reconition about time and space is possible according to social class. A song and a pavillion were chosen as matirials to explain that the ruling class and the ruled in traditional society understood differently about time and space. Songs of the ruling class are generally poetry of four season while, songs of the ruled are mostly song of twelve months. The ruling class is insensitive about a chage of time compared to the ruled as a main body of production. When the ruling class built a pavilion, they chose a place which shows a scenic beauty between a town and nature. But a pavilion of the ruled was placed between a town and farm. While the ruling class liked the place to enjoy nature, the ruled built a pavilion close to a farm.
