Process and development of civilization and human cultures had been significantly related to distribution of biological resources and man's dynamic activities on resource utilization. Adaptation in new environment and process of creating culture regarding to biological resource use had been called as co-evolution between human system and nature system. Existence of island is related with sea current, and its current also manifests boundary effect in diverse scale. In environmental history, we had known that a direct or indirect interrelation between maritime climate and continental climate had been played an important role of sustaining island civilization, cultures and its prosperity. In this paper, I explored a process of human adaptation on nature and island identity(islandness) as historial product. My exploration was also extended the recognition of trans-boundary (likely as ‘between island and island’) by representing concept of the convergence between biological diversity and cultural diversity.
